• Laser Hair Removal

  • How many treatments will I need?

    You can expect to have 80% or more hair reduction with anywhere between 6 to 10 treatments with 4-6 week intervals.

  • If I have grey hair can I have laser hair removal?

    The laser targets the pigment of the hair follicle; therefore if there is no pigment, the hair cannot be treated.

  • Can I return to my regular activities after my treatment?

    Because laser hair removal is recovery free you may return to your regular activities immediately following the treatment, although redness around the follicle could be expected 24 hours following the procedure. To avoid discomfort 24 hours following the treatment avoid strenuous activities that would make you sweat.

  • Which skin types can be treated?

    With the soprano diode laser all skin types can now be treated safely as this machine has the capacity to treat dark skin as well as the very fair.

• Skin tightening, Body reshaping, and Cellulite reduction

  • How many treatments will I need?

    You will begin to see results after a few treatments but to see optimal results approximately 8 treatments every 2 to 4 weeks are necessary. Once treatments sessions are up, follow up treatments are recommended to maintain desired results.

  • Do Accent treatments hurt?

    No, this treatment does not hurt. On the contrary it feel like a deep warm massage.

• Pixel skin resurfacing and peeling

  • Does the treatment hurt?

    The Pixel treatment can be compared to an elastic band snap on the skin. It is a treatment that creates some discomfort that is well tolerated.

  • Is there any down time following this treatment?

    In the past similar technologies would result in extensive downtime but with the harmony's pixel technology, little to no downtime is experienced.

  • How many treatments do I need?

    To experience optimal results, approximately 4 to 6 treatments are needed spaced 2-4 weeks apart.

    Most people describe the treatments as a gentle snapping sensation with minimal discomfort.

  • What should I expect following the treatment?

    Lesions such as age spots will darken immediately and then fade and disappear within 10-14 days. Visible veins will show an immediate response and will also fade over 10-14 days. It is possible to experience some swelling and redness, similar to that of a sunburn, and usually resolves in 24-72 hours. You may return to your regular activities immediately following the treatment and the area of treatment can be covered with makeup the following day.

  • How many treatments will I need?

    The number of treatments depends upon each individual. Most issues of pigmentation will show a dramatic improvement after one session. Spider veins and broken capillaries often need repeated treatment because these issues lay deeper under the skin. The benefits of collagen production for fine lines become more apparent after several treatments.

• Hydrafacial

  • How many treatments will I need?

    The rejuvenating results of a Hydrafacial will only get better with the number of treatments you have. For optimal results, 1 treatment every 4 weeks is recommended.

  • Is it expensive?

    The cost of a hydrafacial is comparable to a regular facial but with more benefits!

• Advanced Facials

  • How much discomfort should be expected during a peel?

    The level of discomfort depends on the treatment. Most peels are gentle and create minimal to no burning or stinging sensations in the skin. Dramatic wrinkling, sun damage, or acne scars may require a deeper peel, which may cause moderate stinging for a few minutes. Deep peels are not necessary for most skin types and conditions. Peels create and produce beautiful and immediate results with minimal discomfort for the majority of patients.

  • Should people who are frequently in the sun receive peels?

    Yes, but only if they use sunscreen protection every day. Sun bathing should be avoided prior to treatment, directly following the treatment, and while the skin is peeling. If you are receiving peel treatments to reduce skin discoloration (hyper pigmentation), it is imperative to use the appropriate skin brightening products as well as broad-spectrum sun protection and avoid unnecessary sun exposure to reduce the chance of further hyper pigmentation.

  • Will a peel make thin skin even thinner?

    No, having a peel will remove surface buildup, hydrate the skin and give it a plumper, 'thicker' appearance. The use of topical vitamin c, retinol and peptide products in a treatment, as well as in a daily care regiment, will help build the collagen and elastin network in the skin thus making it stronger and more durable.

    Discomfort is dependent of patient's level of pain tolerance as well as the strength of each individual treatment.

  • How many do I need?

    The number of treatments required is dependant on the issue being targeted but often, optimal results can be achieved within 4 to 6 treatments.

    Chemical peels are chemically formulated in a laboratory where as the Green Peel is 100% organic and natural.

  • Is the treatment with cosmetic fillers painful?

    Fillers are injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce injection discomfort. Some of the cosmetic fillers offered at Originis are available with pain reducing lidocaine, making the whole injection process a more comfortable experience.

  • What is the recovery time following a treatment?

    The treatment requires minimal downtime. Most people return to their normal routines immediately.

  • How long does a treatment take?

    A BOTOX® Cosmetic procedure is quick, simple, and there's no downtime. Following a facial analysis by one of our physicians and a discussion on your desired outcome, the procedure itself only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to perform.

  • Will my face still have expression?

    BOTOX® Cosmetic is intended to enhance the way you look, not change it. When administered by our physicians, you can still smile frown, and be expressive. The treatment only relaxes the muscle beneath the lines at the point of injection, so the other elements of your facial expression remain active. It also has no effect on the sensory nerves, so you will have normal feeling in the treated areas.

  • Who should not use this treatment?

    There are few restrictions regarding the use of BOTOX® Cosmetic. Those who are pregnant, nursing, or have a neurological disease should not be treated.

• Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

  • Why me?

    Sweat production is not a bad thing, in fact; sweat is necessary to keep your body at a healthy temperature. Hyperhydrosis however, causes your body to produce more sweat than it needs and often not at an adequate time.

  • Is the treatment covered by my health insurance?

    Most health insurance plans cover the cost of the product.
